I remember that day well. I was 21, and through my life at that time, I had times where it was like I had ESP or something as occaisonally I could tell things could happen before they did. My best friend was a big Elvis nut and he witnessed a few of my ESP moments to where he wondered about me. Anyway, the news came on the radio while he was driving and said they had breaking news. He slammed on the brakes and said "It's Elvis", and I wondered where in the he** that came from. Then the announcer said that Elvis had died, then I had that eerie feeling wondering how in the world did he know that. Very strange.

Wow, that's pretty amazing. You sound pretty intelligent when you post as Clive, but not so when you post as Aske. Persimmon Clive (two forums) Aske (two different forums!) Sleepy Dog (two forums) Mellow Greetings Clive Fenster (real name on intellectual property law board)

Crap, I would've thought he'd been dead a while. He looked to me like he was in his 80's in the 70's. I apologize if this seems disrespectful to the deceased.

Well, most of us will say we need the G size, although several of us (not me of course) would be dreaming.

Obviously, you're not a big baseball fan, but that's OK. Colorado and Arizona can't play each other in the World Series, as they are both in the National League. In fact, I believe they play each other starting Thursday. I voted for the Rockies, but it would be nice if Cleveland won also. I like to see change, plus I think it would just piss off the networks if it were a Colorado/Arizona World Series.
My heart says (and I voted) Colorado.
My head says Cleveland.
Which means place your money on Boston.
I suck.

Over a third of Italian men over 30 still live at home? Shoot, if my son (21) is still at home in 9 years, I'll be begging Jules to adopt me & let me sleep on the couch!

Most shocking lunch I ever had is when years ago I went to lunch with an OSU alum, and i being an OU alum, mentioned that I hoped OSU would go 11-1 that year as they had a decent team. He looked at me and said "I hope your team goes 0-12" I thought he was joking as we were both state university alums, and he reiterated "I hate OU, I always hope that they lose every game." I thought he was an exception to OSU students/grads, but have found since then that many OSU fans (but not all) share his sentiment. I'm not against LSU, but I'm not fond of their head coach, Les Miles, who fit right in with my OSU lunchmate when he coached at OSU. 1. Oklahoma State Cowboy fans (morans that would rather see us lose than themselves win) 2. LSU Tigers (those *fudge*ers are just plain crazy) 3. "Get in the Hole" morans

Jules: Your friend Walfredo can attest to the fact that I'm horrible until I'm about 40 feet off the the green, but my chipping & putting are OK. I feel the below advice is quite good, putting both pieces together. Putting is usually the least of my worries on the course also. The main thing is tension is bad. I laugh at myself, but sometimes I think of Stars Wars & Obi Won telling me that the force is with me when I'm putting, then I relax & make a good putt. Newb here and not a great golfer but I try not to get to wrapped up in all the technical advice. I keep 3 things in mind, I try to put to within 3 feet of the hole, bring my putter slow and start forward slow gradually increasing speed until I strike the ball and last I try to imagine I am tossing ball'd up paper into a garbage can underhand from across the room. I have lots of problems on the course, putting is the least of my worries. Let the clubhead follow the ball down the line of the putt. It's simple and can really help.
