Karen Wee, of New York, has been granted a US patent (No. 7,313,833) for an emergency toilet system, with privacy shades and disposable waste reservoir that can be built into the seat of a motor vehicle, aircraft or submarine.

A first office action only two months post-filing, and the patent issued only two months after the issue fee was paid! My pendency is more like 18 months to first action, and it's typically been ~3 months from issue fee payment to issuance.
Of course, my patent applications don't always deal with *feces*ters, either. Title: Re: Submarine?? Yeah I keep one in my garage... Post by: gleek on January 29, 2008, 03:31:40 PM http://www.uspto.gov/web/patents/patog/week01/OG/html/1326-1/US07313833-20080101.html

Hell no! Thanks to Karen Wee. Title: Re: Submarine?? Yeah I keep one in my garage... Post by: Spanky on January 29, 2008, 07:19:05 PM I could have used one of those a time or two. Usually we just used a funnel for #1. #2's we would wake people up.
