Fake outrage is fake: Her father died after contracting lung disease caused by working in a munitions plant.

It's admittedly thin, but not worth the noise being made.

  That's not to disparage her dad, his death, any effort he made.  But what she said is disingenuous and was (poorly) politically calculated and backfired-- this is the internet age and how these politicians think this stuff wont catch up to them is beyond me.

Yes it is. That's the way it works. To flesh that out: You can't get all butthurt about James Cleland and say the outrage here is warranted.

Now, if you wanted to say her dad lucked out, got to stay home with a high paying job and all the strange he could handle, I wouldn't argue that.

But in the end, it still cost him his life.

And yes, it's a tad disingenuous, but it's disingenuous along the lines of The Shrub saying he was a fighter pilot. [sm_devil]
