2  General / The Cantina / Re: Tomorrow is my friend's wedding..... on: August 09, 2009, 04:48:37 PM
I will try to be more constructive this time....  Grin

On Friday nite I have written some words on a piece of paper in front of my wife, and put it into her purse. Told her only open it after Sunday morning. (I will tell you why later)

Wedding went smooth enough on Saturday (from 6am - for preparations to 5pm - finish) but I am sorry that I really not a party person - IMO that's the 11 hours I can never get back from my life!

Thank god that this couple are probably one of the most awarded stingy couple in 2009 and their wedding is rather simple!

We all went home either exhausted/overly bored - none of us talk about it so 3 of us just went home - sleep in.

Sunday morning: I sort of waiting for my wife rant about on how good her friend's wedding compare to her own blahblahblah.... but by judging that quality of wedding I kind of reliefed. We proceed to do our washing/cleaning up/screaming at our son etc.... we usually do it on Saturday, so I can piss off for golf on Sunday. Not a chance this week.

Anyway, just in the middle of the cleaning up... my wife brought this up: "Their wedding is rather simple, our wedding seems more classy" I smiled, and knowing that I have written something on that piece of paper, I am thinking to removing it quietly. But while I am thinking about that, my wife speaks again: "But her wedding dress is prettier than mine"...

I was like - OH *fudge*! Here we go again....

So I told her to open up that little piece of paper in her purse and read it out loud.

There're 2 x paragraphs in there.

Exact words of 1st paragraph:
"Chances are you are going to bitch about how great is your friend's wedding compare to yours and you are going to give me hell on my only weekend day on Sunday! Please understand I have done the best I could in the past and I couldn't plan a more romantic + classy wedding within the strength of my rather limited imagination!!!"

She looked at me and give me the look of "Do you think I am that shallow??" and I return the eye roll of "You wanna bet?!"

Exact words of 2nd paragraph:
"And you probably will rant about your friend's wedding dress is prettier than yours! Please understand 2 things:
1) No matter how great the wedding dress look - all the grooms in the world will only do 1 thing - ripped the dress open in the quickest way and do whatever they want to do with the content inside!
2) I think you were/are/and will be the prettiest bride/wife/female creatures I have ever met in my life - SO QUIT BITCHING YOU COMPETITIVE WOMAN!!"

To my surprise - she had a big laugh about it and seems pretty happy for the rest of the day. I guess I have done well with little bit of humour touch. At least I had a very peacful-lish Sunday.

Pity there's no golf involved Sad

enjoy the party... I think its too hard for me. For the last 30 odd years I have always try to enjoy a party but never did. I don't drink nor smoke and I am not good at open conversation (even if I do no one will understand anyway), so its not helping at all.

just assume I have been toxicated when I wrote my comment. I didn't do spell check of whatever, I just push it out of my extremely unorganised brain.

It just a pre-rant... does it have to make sense really?  Disgusted

Talking about rant... I somehow turn into this inner anger person. Even if I get a chance to play golf, all I want to talk is all sort of rant! I mean - who wants to listen to other problem when playing golf! So I rather not saying anything and do the hit and find and hit it again thing.
4  General / The Cantina / Tomorrow is my friend's wedding..... on: August 06, 2009, 07:03:58 PM
.... and I am sure my wife will give me the *feces* tomorrow, and you guys will hear my rant approx 36 hrs later.  Sad

I don't understand why majority women always compares! I mean, you have your share of ______ <-- (fill in the blank, in my case, wedding) and please so be it. Why does my wife always has to compare what she already had with others - and then give me the *feces*?!

Since I got marry I never complaint about anything. All the issue that starting to/already slided about her I just let it go. On the other hand I just keep copping *feces* every so often - usually it happens when I really need a atmosphere to do something.

In summary, this over work, over stress, under golf and under **** donkey has been sacrify everything possible just trying to keep the family and the partner happy but very often is not apperciated - and always got pick on issues created due to above conditions.

Maybe I am a cowboy Disgusted and I guess my son will inherient that. So I will tell him not to get married and never have children!  Devil

spelling: still improving - like 2i, its my best interest to get the spelling correct due to nature of my current day job.
memory: What is memory??
physical fitness: 25 - my gut feeling told me that's the age
alcohol tolerance: 0 (never good with alcohol)
sense of humor: since I got married, have a child and realize my dream girl is not that dreamy anymore  Sad
fashion sense: never good at that neither. I had been told I look best naked  Lips Sealed
physical appearance/charisma/self-confidence: I grow fatter! But everyone around me saying I look better than I used to (they used to call me a stick) but I don't agree. Self Confidence was always shot.
Golf game: remind me what is a golf stick look like please?

Good to have someone on board who can understand Smiley

Most of the people around me (especially my parents and the alikes) just told me to suck it in.... (and they are the one who sucked me into this having a family thing)

Not that I am not entirely enjoying it, but I am a wild child in a nutshell. The whole responsibility thing pretty much opposed do what I have always used to doing.

Worst thing is I am starting to accepting this is my faith, and the inner wild child also started to get converted!

Not too long I will become a whinging middle age man who looks alright from outside but having too many fricking mortgage  Sad

Life sucks...

Keperra in Brisbane J.

2i... quite disappointed about my putting.
11  Golf / Golf Talk / Played matchplay yesterday... on: February 17, 2008, 02:46:53 PM
... with a guy who has a good swing and a extremely high handicap... I have to give him 7 shots!

I won the 1st hole, square the next couple. Did something SOOooo stupid on #7.... front 9 1 up to him.

Start fighting back on the back 9 and win/square for the next 5 holes (square because need to give him shots %^&$^&  Devil).....

Thanks for the medicore putting and on the #15 it really doing its job to stuff me up.... (1 up for me at the point + another shot goes to him this hole) FIR + GIR and 3 putts! Nice job idiot! (He got a bogey too) Back to square

Next hole I was trying to get my leverage back... a short par 3 and I HAVE to give him another shot on a 125 meters hole! %^&*(  Devil

He push it to the right and short and I was firing at the pin! Hitted a draw thats too nice and draw into the water hazzel pin height! 1 Down...

#17, his 3 wood found the right rough and my driver found the fairway... rain start pouring down and I fat my pitch shot, miscalculate my chip and the game is over!

He reckon he has stronger mental than I do but I think I just happen to miss at least 5 important short putts. (Didn't really bother to win it or not... I think win/lose is almost determined in the beginning) Could have finished him 5/4 like last year I did.

For my defense... we are doing match play at his home course.

http://media.putfile.com/slow-32-36

Find out which tempo suits you the best (I'm 21/7), and try using it during a range session. At first you'll struggle to keep in sync with the Tour Tempo tones, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy.

There are three tones repeated over and over with a percussion beat going on in the background. As soon as you hear the first tone (1), start your backswing. Don't anticipate it. They have accounted for the reaction time. As soon as you hear the second tone (2), start your downswing. The third tone should sound at the same time as impact.

Try to work the Tour Tempo tones to your preshot routine.

example:

Tone 1: both feet together with clubhead behind the ball

Tone 2: Left foot placement

Tone 3: Right foot placement

Then you can skip the next set of three tones, as you waggle and look at the target.

Start your swing on the set of three tones after that.

Then we both laughed.

Its just social golf... I guess I got a little too concerned  Tongue
