Title: Sending email to AOL Post by: Uisce Beatha on January 05, 2007, 03:41:28 PM Quote Fri, Jan 5, 2007 10:22:15 AM -0700 SMTP send failed to aol.com (64.12.137.249) Command: <message> Response: 421 SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE Gawd, what a joke. The list of things AOL will use to blackhole your SMTP server is long and stupid. Today? There were 42 messages queued up waiting for whatever was buggin' them yesterday to go away. So it does and off they go. Within the hour it's rejecting again due to, I think, too many messages sent to their mail exchangers in too short a time. Duh! It's just something I laugh at now. Combined with their useless DNS and proxy policies we have the trifecta. They are so lame.
