Jeebus,  so as of YESTERDAY morning ALL* the weather stations/groups had been predicting the overnight/morning today would be a total cluster*fudge*- rain-rain/mix-changing to snow with more and more and more snow changing to mix to more and more snow and now to freezing rain around noon today (right on so far on all counts).

going to work today this morning around 930, 3-4" snow on the sides of the roads, total piles of *feces* in the street where cars had passed (some successfully) saw  4 wrecks in the span of my 15 minute bus ride, and cars just sliding around everywhere.   as of now (1245)  the major city streets are still a disaster and look like they've only been 'plowed'  by traffic itself.  with little 2 feet wide wheel wells in the streets

what are my tax $ paying for?   this was NOT a surprise storm !

oh, and to all the *bunghole*s in the $500K+ condos, and the little small business   that I trudged by to the bus stop,   i hope you all fall and break your own hips on your unshoveled sidewalks.

Any chance the DMV already spent it's budget?  Happens here all the time.

well, given it's PA in general and PGH in particular, odds are good that anything is already over-budget.  that said,  we were* going into this morning 10" under pace for yearly snow fall to date, and had only 1 major* other weather event.   it would be hard to imagine they're over-budget on snow-related  stuff this* year already

Last I recall, you had 24 hours after the snow started to shovel your walk.

Our road crews literally wait on the side of the road for the upcoming snow storm. 

Our road crews have never seen snow :o

Come to think of it, I'd reckon many of them haven't seen a road either
