Title: Dishwasher Loading - Silverware Up or Down? Post by: dystopia on July 02, 2009, 11:58:10 PM I never realized there was a debate about this, but I've heard this can cause arguments in a household.
Some say one method is cleaner than the other. Others say one method is cleaner and safer. What's it like in your house? Title: Re: Dishwasher Poll - Silverware Up or Down? Post by: Seamus on July 03, 2009, 12:03:56 AM handles down.

People can say whatever they want to here. We both know the correct answer is whatever your wife says it is. Title: Re: Dishwasher Loading - Silverware Up or Down? Does the dude who voted "other" leave them lying loose and flat in the top rack? ??? Maybe spoons bulbous side down, knives and forks sharp side up. [sm_scratch] Title: Re: Dishwasher Loading - Silverware Up or Down? Post by: spacey on July 03, 2009, 02:51:49 PM I used to do all handles down except point/sharp knives, but then got married to someone who is way less anal retentive about that kind of stuff, and decided it wasn't a hill to die on. Now the randomness is dependent on who loads the dishwasher. I still do handles down, it's my silent protest.

Title: Re: Dishwasher Loading - Silverware Up or Down? Post by: Salamander on July 04, 2009, 11:10:16 PM I said random but actually it's both ways each type of utensil, as it's actually good for the utensils not to spoon into eachother so that all surfaces are equally cleaned; this way, I make certain it doesn't happen.
Title: Re: Dishwasher Loading - Silverware Up or Down? Post by: Jules on July 06, 2009, 02:39:15 AM Who gives a *feces*!!!
All I know is that if Russell loads the dishwasher for me, is that I really appreciate it. ;D ;D ;D Title: Re: Dishwasher Loading - Silverware Up or Down? Post by: Darla on July 06, 2009, 09:17:26 PM Who gives a *feces*!!! All I know is that if Russell loads the dishwasher for me, is that I really appreciate it. ;D ;D ;D Jules why are you paying Russell a compliment, does he read what you write or something? If it works more power to you. :D Handles down in this house and I do not put the sharp knives in the dishwasher. Sometimes the silverware goes in random when the kids are loading the dishwasher, can't complain when I am not doing it. ;) |
