so what happens if you got the letter, and instantly accepted, called other schools you applied to, and declined or told them to kill your application ? Seriously, though: when you guys applied to colleges/law schools/grad schools/whatever, did you not inform your lesser choice schools to drop you from further consideration after you were accepted at a higher school?
