Title: For Those Unable to Watch PACK/boys Game
Post by: campy on November 29, 2007, 12:03:29 AM
http://channelsurfing.net will be carrying the game live, although it is only available to those using IE.  Picture quality is not the best, but it is a bit better than following Aske's spoiler thread.

I'm working overtime today but will try to leave early enough to get home before the game. Of course every other person here in Dallas will be doing the same so I may be listening to it on the radio parked on 75.

Thanks for the link.  I will watch it there, if I can.  I want to see the game.

Don't have NFL Network(obviously)  and I think  That and the Thanksgiving deal is the sucky mc suck suck.

It's only gonna get worse.

And I don't know anyone with NFL network that I'd want to spend 3 1/2 hours at their house on a Thurs evening.

But he is my answer to this problem.   ;D

Apparently our cable company offers it in one of the higher tiers of programming.

Potentially one of the best match-ups of the year (yes, I know it didn't look that way when they made the schedule) and some huge percentage of the fan base can't watch it at home.  No matter who you blame, I could care less who's at fault but I suspect the league, it's a stupid, stupid situation.

From a selfish, elitist prick perspective - I have NFL Network + it'll too cold to be out and about tonight = I'm happy.   ;)

Called my cable company 30 minutes ago, was on hold for 15 minutes then I had NFL network 5 minutes  later.  Total cost $4 extra a month to my account and I get 20 other sports and discovery channels with the tier.

So  :finger: [sm_eekdance] [sm_eekdance] [sm_eekdance] [sm_eekdance] [sm_headbang] [sm_headbang] [sm_headbang] [sm_headbang] [sm_headbang] [sm_drinking] [sm_buddies]

Who knew "it appears" is a punctuation mark.   [sm_dontknow]

Gumbel's not good.  Not at all.

I do like Chris Collinsworth though.  I think he'd shine if he wasn't so busy just trying to keep the broadcast afloat.

Sometimes he reminds me of Johny Miller though.

Well not having to see him talk made it tolerable.  He isn't the best that is for sure.  But I was surprised that I quite enjoyed Collinsworth's analysis.  I thought he did a good job and generally said stuff worth hearing.  Plus I agree with everything he said regarding the *feces*ty pass interference inadvertant trip and Al Harris stripping the ball from TO while the moran ref blew the whistle.

Funny, I almost wrote that he reminds me of Brandel Chamblee.  Both he and Miller are guys who pop off with their opinions but I think Chamblee and Collinsworth are less, I dunno, angry about it.

Another thing I like about Collinsworth.  He says what's on his mind but it's REALLY what's on HIS mind rather than that stupid ESPN team where they spend the entire broadcast finding things wrong with people and spouting inaccuracies - all of it seemingly contrived.  Then we have Keith Olberman's nonsense on the other station.  Lots of assclowns in this industry.  I imagine it's a pretty hard job but surely there are a dozen people in the country good at it.  Find them.

......  Find them.

[major out-of-leftfield threadjack]

I'm in a weird place today. I just flashed on Lt. Castillo of Miami Vice fame. Dude seemingly had two lines: "Find them" "Get them". Both delivered as he turned to face the wall or window in his office.
