Title: 25 R&R HoF snubs
Post by: tdcoly on March 06, 2008, 06:29:01 PM
http://www.palmbeachpost.com/blogs/content/shared-blogs/palmbeach/journalist/entries/2008/03/06/the_25_biggest_rock_and_roll_h.html

Personally, I like 1,2,3,6,9,10,12,14,17,18,19 and 22.  But, I am old and at heart I am still a hippie. 8)

Sorry, but it is the ROCK & ROLL HOF, not R&B, rap, pop.  Half that list has no business being mentioned, let alone enshrined.  Not that the R&R HOF has any real meaning.  Once they started inducting the likes of The O'Jays before Black Sabbath, they lost any credibility with me.

I'm all for the rehabilitation of Neil Diamond; as for the others, meh.

Billy Preston has got to be inducted along with Neil Diamond and Joe Cocker.  Probably the Commodores and Heart should be too.

My theory is that the blame for disco can be laid entirely at the feet of Hall and Oates

I hardly believe Ice-T, having only been eligible for one year, counts as a "snub."

Wait.  Oh, Ice-T.  I was thinking Cube.
