Post by: gleek on September 01, 2010, 08:14:05 PM I've seen titanium clubheads cause sparks when they hit the ground, but the ground would have to be dry as *feces* for it to go up in flames due to such sparks.

Post by: Fuzzy on September 01, 2010, 08:49:38 PM While I'm convinced those goofy Mythbuster dudes would prove this explanation "plausible", the more likely real world scenario would include a match, a cigar/ette, and putting one or both of the aforementioned items on the ground whilst puring a 5-iron.
