Title: Football Rules Question Post by: Aske on October 16, 2008, 06:05:21 PM when a punt is *hanked and it takes a dumb crazy bounce into the back* of a return team member engaged in a running block downfield, do you think this should count as a "touch" and make it a live ball, or should it have to be a "face forward, hands out to catch it" type touch ?

I thought if anyone on the return team touches the ball it's live. Usually why on a shank the punt returner is waving everyone away.
