Killin me man - just killin me.

Good thing I don't budget - all this would bury it and force me to reconsider.  But as it is, I'll be checking them out tonight, check card in hand  8)

its not an advertised sale
add 3 movies (hd-dvd) to your cart  (no 1clicks)

go through the checkout process to the next to last step (the one before verifying your CC info)

if the 3 you selected all qualify, you'll see the price is updated to $40 instead of $60
(assuming thye were all $20 titleS)

there's a lot of trial/error effort involved...  people on AVS have been playing with it all day
not every movie qualifies, and some combinations of qualified movies don't seem to work. LOL

to see how it works .. try these titles
goodfellas
casino
mummy 1

that combo has worked repeatedly for many people.  if it shows up for you - you'll understand the process and can start toying around with 3movie combos you are interested in and see if they qualify.

Ah, that helped.  Wasn't getting anything earlier so I just gave up.  Turns out I had 2, but all the others to go with it weren't eligible.

Bourne Supremacy
Blood Diamond
Batman Begins

...on the way.

looks like the paramount announcement, and this free amazon dealy is already having a big surge for hd-dvd

if they go combo format only on day/date new releases (transformers, etc)  with the new sub $200 player at xmas....  sony is officially dead.

You guys are making me jealous.

I'm hoping to HD-up in the fall.  Depends how bad these property tax increases hit me.  I have some raw land that they just decided is worth four times what it was last year.

Have I mentioned how I feel about property taxes?  [sm_angry8]

Anyway, hopefully I'll be on here asking a bunch of stupid questions about what to buy.   ;)

I have yet to see exactly how badly Davis County is going to ding me (I'm sure they sent me a notice that I failed to read) but I doubt it's going to be pretty. Another money grab by the liberals in charge.

Davis Co. was bad enough.  They bumped my house by $50K although I'm contesting it.  We have a recent appraisal and that's almost 100% certain to be accepted.

The raw land is in Weber Co.  Granted, we've been paying taxes on undervalued assessments but they literally quadrupled the value of the land in one year.  Unreal.

Our property taxes (assessment values anyway) in MO went up under a 'conservative' money grab  [sm_shock].  Seems money is money to all  [sm_devil]

I guess the subtlety of my joke was lost on anyone who doesn't live here. Davis County is a lot of things, but "liberal" it ain't.

bye bye blowray

despite currently having a 5-6x edge in players in households,  blowray has averaged only a 2x sales edge this year (and a 1.5x edge cumulatively since release)
pretty consistently shown by amazon all year as well

http://www.hdgamedb.com/amazon/history.aspx?TYPE=10&SPAN=7
the big toshiba/ xbox add on sale  shows that bluray owners simply don't buy as many movies, even when they are on a great sale.  hopefully the br exclusive studios are paying attention.
 8)  attach rate does matter!
