And the base just loves Trump's commonsense conservative businessman creds The base also seems oblivious to what is his actual business model, which is to sell the Trump brand to the highest bidding developer. Developers pitch him projects, and Trump decides which projects he'll allow to use his name, and how much the developers must pay him for the use of his name. The developer, not Trump, incurs all debt. The developer, not Trump, incurs all the risk for the project. Whether it is a building or a golf course. Trump is a cost that developers have decided to incur with hopes to sell their project better to the financiers. Trump only owns the name of the project, and is rewarded handsomely for that ownership. He is nothing but a figurehead. He builds nothing but acts as if these are all his projects, molded by his business acumen. He is an emperor with no clothes. And middle america thinks this sham artist has exactly the right business credentials to run this country! Every American that's darker than a caramel and/or has an unfamiliar letter combination realizes just how unlevel the playing field can be. |
