Dude needs to buy a right boot.

Nothing tops Maradona v. England in the '86 World Cup.  Messi's goal from a few weeks ago was pretty special too.

The hand of god? it wasn't even a goal, was it?

Back in the day when I would call people SOB's in these message boards I remember getting into a heated argument with that slhaitou (?) guy from Argentina in a figgys thread.

Nothing quite like the nationalistic passion of youth.

Lucky bastard.
Ditto. Lucky he didn't break his ankle or rip his Achilles tendon.

I've seen much crazier goals in hockey.

Same match, different goal.   ;)

Kinda funny really.  Within a single match he scored perhaps the greatest goal ever and the most shameful goal ever.

Shalitou (sp? for me too) is extremely passionate about Argentine soccer.  To the point that he believes Maradona is the best player ever and the hand of god goal was legit.  He admits it was a hand ball but says that South American soccer is playted that way so all is well.

Bloody cheats down there anyway.   ;)

He came out with that Maradonna spouted crap about stealing from a thief is not stealing.

So legit from an information restricted Dictatorship country  'we invaded the Falklands and got our asses handed to us' kind of way.

Exclusion zone, peaches.

Mothers' Day sing-song for Peaches...

Brezhnev took Afghanistan
Begin took Beirut
Galtieri took the Union Jack.
And Maggie over lunch one day
Took a cruiser with all hands
Apparently to make him give it back.

Maradona vs. England would still have to be at the top - although I have not looked at Messi's from last week yet.

Was that the one where he dribbled through like 85 people, ordered a 3 course meal, sang 3 bars of Don't Cry For Me Argentina, and then booted it into the net?

Yeah that was a great goal. But if we're picking the greatest soccer goals ever I would rather cast a vote for any one of 2 dozen goals by this guy named Edson Arantes do Nascimento, I had a chance to see him when he was 96 years old and still playing for the Cosmos.

Maradona's a *goshdarn* mother*fudge*er step child of Andes goat farmers.

I just wanted to say *goshdarn* mother*fudge*er bastard in a thread, thank you.
