Title: What's Up For Today?
Post by: stroh on February 10, 2008, 07:45:10 AM
We're meeting with a Realtor to look at a house.  Then head off for some weekly errands.  Cous Cous, Targe`, et al.  This afternoon probably catch the end of Pebble.  My buddy wants to hit the simulator today/night.  I would like to since I haven't been once this year.  I haven't told the other half about it, so it may not fly. :-[

OTT, not much.  Too cold for much of anything else. :yield:

Seeing has how it's *fudgin'* colder than a well digger's arse, I don't think I'll even venture out of the house.  Probably play TW '08 on the Wii and win another tournament.  I finished up the first season as an amateur yesterday, winning Q School wire-to-wire.  Had lots of endorsements thrown my way.  My sponsors are Oakley, Etonic, Mizuno, Dunlop, Buick, and EA Sports.  In the bag.  Cobra woods, Mizuno irons, and an EA sports putter.  Get $3500 just for teeing it up every round.

I'm guessing by the body of your post the answer is good/yes, but I'll ask anyway.

How do you like it?  I love our wii, but have been hesitant to pull the trigger on TW, because I was afraid the game play with the wiimote would be cheesy.  The golf on wii sports sucks ass.  Is it better on TW?

Just got done doing laundry.

As previously mentioned it is not getting above 0 today so I'll be doing things inside.

Mike, it's very good.  While the graphics aren't quite as good as XBox 360, they are fairly realistic, even in 480i.  The game is a ton of fun.

Spawn of Clive was just put down for a nap, and now it's Daddy Time(R).  While you're correct in thinking that Daddy Time(R) normally does include self-abuse, in this particular instance it will not.  I'm installing a wall cabinet in the laundry room, then trying to do some more organizing/discarding of crap in the garage.

given the

cold
extreme wind
light snow
icy roads/sidewalks
broken elevator in apt. building

odds are i'll be staying in today (already did a few errands, and grabbed some pizza for lunch/dinner)   other than maybe making a late afternoon  run across the street to the grocery or drug store for some diet pepsi  or coke zero

watch pga tour from pebble beach @ 3.
play xbox360 poker after that for awhile
do some work in advance of the workday tomorrow, surf/chat maybe, then
watch some movie or some horrible tv shows after that and go to bed around 2-3 probably

Nascar qualifying now.
Grocery shopping
Pebble Beach

Ps. Pebble is the tournament that I usually mark on my calandar as "it's time to loosen MY golf muscles"

Recovery - that Jager shot and a beer after the party was already over put me over the top  :yield:

But a great party it was!  A latent Mardi Gras shindig - rented a hall, everyone had costumes, open bar, band, etc.  And some of the costumes were great.

Bill and Hillary were there (they did a really nice job - looked the parts), one of my buddies wore a great Cardinal outfit (he actually looked pious, and believe me - that he aint  :D ), my buddies wife was kind of a forest pixie and her form fitting costume was very pleasing to the eye  ;) , we had Gary Sinese as the Riddler (a great costume, but even without it the guy was a dead ringer for Sinese), a female chain gang, gwen stefani, a geisha girl that was absolutely beautiful, pee wee herman, 'mark antony' and cleopatra (he kept telling me he was 'ceasar' and I kept telling him that mark antony was the one with cleopatra, so I have made the adjustment for him  ::) ), a small group of trannies, zorro, and several others - but these were the really good ones.

I was a jester, along with several others.

Ah - Good times, good times.

Been puttering around the house, installing a new electrical outlet, touching up some paint, hanging some pictures, etc. I was going to wire some new wall sconces in the living room, but I've decided to put it off until next weekend when She is at work and isn't home to grumble about what I'm doing to her new paint. In a bit we're off to Macy's to exchange some pants, because I'm fatter than the wife thinks, and then off to the 'rent's place for dinner.

Not overmuch.  On the way home from church, Dad and I were talking about what a nice day it would be for ice fishing, however, that's not in today's plans.

Maybe some reading or crocheting this afternoon.

About your avatar;  If that's water the glass is half full, if it's vodka/gin/moonshine, it's half empty....

Hey PB, in Australia you would be called a garbo instead of a trashman.

The garbo's do really well here around Christmas time, as everybody leaves a six-pack of beer on top on their bin for their local garbo. :D

Not much, just replacing an outlet.

Great Googly Moogly, don't know as what I could finish the route.  I'd have to finish every bloody beer as the regulations wouldn't permit the beer in the truck... ;D

I have been trying to move beds around.  I can't get the queen size bed out of the spare room, it is stuck.  I will have to wait until Russell gets home. :-[ :-[

There would be garbo's rioting in the streets at Christmas time if that law was over here. ;D ;D ;D

Men.  Its hard for men dressed as women to then look like men again - but they pulled it off.  Put on the makeup then hide it under fake stubble, wear the fake breasts then wrap them to conceal - things like that.

Hey Jules, I'll think you'll find the correct term is "Garbologist" ;)

Us Queenslanders are just plain garbos. ;D

I think  that the garbo can change the invention of people to experiment the beer so that they can use the beer in a party which they have a many flavor to drink.
