Title: Uncomfortably numb Post by: Walfredo on June 19, 2008, 09:47:41 AM So I had a follow-up dental appointment this morning at 9:00 to replace an old almagam filling that was probably circa 1988. Pretty painless procedure except I'm still *goshdarn* numb now. I'm starving but if I tried to eat I'd undoubtedly bite my lip and give myself another canker sore. And the last thing I need is another open wound. So I'm hungry but can't eat. :hungry: [sm_cussing] [sm_banghead]

Coincidentally, I leave in about 15 minutes for the dentist to have an old filling excavated (with interest) and re-filled. Last time, it took five injections. I'll dip the fries in the shake to soften them up.

Title: Re: Uncomfortably numb Post by: E-A-G-L-E! on June 19, 2008, 07:52:25 PM My mom has some dental procedures coming up, 'cept she isn't going without anesthetics. I'm sure that will hurt, but on the plus side, dentists tend to be more careful when they know you'll feel some pain.
On a side note, it's pretty interesting how dentures are made.
