How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on when in your heart you begin to understand there is no going back? There are some things that time cannot mend, some hurts that go too deep, that have taken hold.

Not home yet - just splurged for the hotel internet to check emails and such.

Trip has been quite good.

Played St. Andrews last Saturday.  Were the first group out on the Eden course in the morning - 45* and windy as all get out (3-4 clubber).... 'summer' the starter called it  [sm_devil]  ;) .  Played poorly with the rental clubs.  Afternoon on the New Course was better.  It got warmer, we got used to the wind a bit, and the clubs - short game still sucked, but I made a bunch of pars on the back 9 and shot 91.  Wasn't in a bunker all day!  Views from the course looking back towards the town - magnificent!

The Old Course was closed on Sunday.... which means we got to walk it and take pictures (will have to post them next week).

Today was either Westminster Abbey and Houses of Parliament or try to get last minute tickets to a soccer match.  .....Just got back from Ashton Park  ;D ;D :D    ...for those that are not Irish midgets, that means I got to see Newcastle play West Ham - a 2-2 tie.  I'm more of a Magpies fan than the Hammers, but being at their park and sitting amongst the supporters, I could not help but support West Ham on the day.  Pints with the locals prior to the match - they want a new manager.

I did get into Emirates Stadium though - a co-workers daughter plays professionally for Chelsea and they played the Arsenal Ladies Thursday at Emirates.  He got us tickets and since it was his birthday as well I kept my Arsenal loyalties on the down low... for the most part  ;)  Pints prior to the match, and too many afterwards.  Good times!

Well, my buzz is wearing off and Its time for dinner.  Later all!

Atta baby Spanky.

Some guys are simply treacherous.  They'll prostitute themselves for glory.  They profess hatred for United but is it real?  Are they willing to take the moral high ground?  I think not.  For example, and this is just an example, just sayin' really, might be nothing to it at all, you see guys put Ronaldo on their fantasy team - make him captain even!!  For what?  Nothing more than fleeting moments of pleasure.  When the end draws near and we're all left reflecting on how we lived our lives how bitter will be their memories.   :sad3:

My soul weeps for them.
