But the big rumor is linking Klinsman to Liverpool if Rafa doesn't improve his relationship with management. I can understand if he's frustrated with owners that may not know the intricacies of the transfer window, but playing it out in the press was a huge mistake.

I'm sure he would jump at the chance, but is it a good situation for him? They do not seem to be going anywhere regardless of who coaches them. They need to make some additions during the window. You have to get your first gig somewhere. An EPL team, where you're an absolute hero by the way, that will stay up is a pretty nice deal. If he's willing it's about as good a deal as he'll ever see. As long as he doesn't get them relegated he'll pretty much get away with whatever happens. Top ten and he's a hero. Bottom half of the table but outside the relegation zone and he gets 'ah well, it's his first gig, give him time.'
The alternative, assuming he wants to manage, is the first division (Coca-Cola Championship, whatever the *fudge* it's call now.) He won't get an EPL job anywhere else. Snap it up Alan m'boy. But you're right - Shearer will get a large grace period because its him.
