You'll have to register to view the pool, but it's free.  After you register, you'll see "Connect to a Pool" on the left-hand side of the screen. Our pool is called Golfhos2007 and the password is fore.

For first place, I've got a box of golf balls and for 2nd place I've got a SI Golf daily calender (OK, it'll be 6 months old by the time the playoffs end, but it's still a good read)

Ottawa looked good today.  The Pens have only dominated in only one of nine periods so far.  Doesn't look good, but it's still anyone's series.

I agree, the flames and wild look done.   They might pick up a game at home, but it's not looking good.

The sharks were looking soft in the last game and I'm about to write them off, but we'll see how they respond in game 3 at home.

They responded in fine style in the Shark Tank.  They looked strong tonight.

Cool.  I had a long meeting last night and missed the entire game. >:(

I had a tough time with a strategy for this pool.  Whether to spread my players around or gamble on the teams that I think will go far.  I ended up with a mix, and it looks like a bad move to have picked players on both sites of a Round 1 matchup (like Pens/Sens),

Dys, you have the fewest players eliminated so far.  I'm next.

not really.  pens and sens are both explosive offenses, and unless you were deathly certain you knew who is getting eliminated, hedging your bets with 2-3 players from each team is a good compromise

Aske's still leading, but he's only got 10 players left.  BobA is 3 points back and he's got 13 players left.  I've dropped back a bit, but I've got the most players at 16.

i'm practically out of it unless it becomes a sens-ducks finals   and the conf finals have scores only by superstars

I just noticed that some players have a "D" before their names; what's the 'd' stand for?

I think it means "defenseman", as opposed to winger or center

Sens are one win away from a berth in the final.  They look fresh and motivated.  And they're hoping for a long, hard fought Wings/Ducks series.

I need Pronger, Comrie and McDonald to get more than 5 points among them to catch Aske, and I need Pronger and Comrie to score more that 9 points to catch BobA.

Bob, you look pretty safe right now. 

Yeah, I was just looking at that today. Pronger is a real threat. He gets about 2 points for every three games in his playoff career. Comrie is at about one point per three games. Obviously I want a short, low scoring series! ;) If it goes 6 or 7 games it could get interesting.



I figure if Pronger scores one point for every US citizen that is paying attention to this series.......

Pronger's suspension should have been longer than one game.  The guy has a track record of a head hunter.

Yeah. I agree but I guess they don't want to get too tough in the finals. Shouldn't matter but in the NHL, it does. Same reasoning they almost never call penalties in OT.
