Our TV is dying, too. Has been for quite some time. I guess it's not dead enough yet for us to replace it yet, though. Or even to start looking for one. It only has a high-pitched squeal and the off/on button sticks terribly, forced to use the remote for that. I am not a doctor, but I am thinking it is terminal.
