It was a long weekend here!!!!!  The Queens Birthday!!! ;D ;D
I had three days of golf in a row!!! I played well (we have club championships coming up next weekend!!! :-\)
Russell and I watched Forrest Gump on dvd, I haven't seen that movie in year's, and I really enjoyed watching it again. (I also love the soundtrack).

Sat: hit a few motorcycle dealerships, family time, and did some electrical tinkering.

Sun: one-on-one time with the young one, then had another family over for a cookout.

So Clive, are you thinking of buying a new motorbike!!!

1. Built intricate scale models of Windsor Castle and burned them.

2. Sang "The Fields of Athenry" until they kicked us out.

3. Shouted "God Save Liz" in a mocking, somewhat derogatory, fashion.

4. Ate grass until our mouths turned green.

5. Called TFT and hung up - twice.

Didn't know it was the queen's birthday though.

Okie Dust Bowl was on Saturday, great fun.

14 of us, including Walfredo and Golfer Ray, good shape course, beer, pub, beer, restaurant (with family) and more beer.

Then sleeeep.

Up next morning at 11 and went to pub by lake for more beer.

Hard times.

Friday: Watched some movies (Smokin' Aces- 2 stars, Stranger than Fiction- 3.5 stars)
Saturday: spent money on accessories for the MINI and then crashed my brother's birthday dinner
Sunday: back breaking labor in the yard followed by broiled steaks (see the WTF is wrong with people? thread for more details) at mom and dad's place

The only ones taken were on something called 'film'.

Golfer Ray said he was bringing a digi camera so nobody else bothered.

Ray lied though.   ;D

I've sorta been completely out of crochet projects since the 6th (okay, the 6th wasn't all that long ago, but still long enough).  Sorta being that I have one more I could do, but I don't need it until the last week of December, and it takes less than a week to complete.  Since I didn't have a project to help fill my weekend, I had to find other things to do. :-\

Saturday started with picking up the groceries that we buy in bulk once a month, then putting it all away.  After that, I read a couple chapters of a book, completed a Sunday School lesson, went for a bike ride of sorts, and shot several rounds of archery, though not consecutively or in that order.  Oh, and I helped around the house, too.
Sunday I wasn't well most of the day so I sat around being almost no help, though at one point I did try to help.  Watched a bit of golf, flipping to nascar during commercials, went out to watch the kids bike, took a nap in the car from 3-4, stayed there hoping to fall back asleep until my dad needed to go somewhere, went inside and turned on the tv (news, documentary of sorts that I've seen before) while resting/sleeping intermittently, then watched more news.  Very boring.

Damn, that's right.  Almost forgot.  I also decommissioned several thousand weapons.

Eagle, is your family car the only place you can go to, for some peace and quiet!!!

lol, mostly. ;)  No, not really.  I could go to my room and shut the door.  But yesterday was the first really nice day (i.e. in the 80º+) we've had for a while, and I didn't want to go in.  ;D

Friday - don't recall, must have involved too much alcohol.

Saturday - played golf, had some dinner with friends, I came down with a nasty sinus headache, then watched our friends cover band play.  The pills must have worked as it turned into a late nighter.

Sunday - skipped golf!  [sm_shock]   Was too sick and it was raining.  Sat around the house miserable - finally gave in and took some drugs.  Then dinner and a movie (Pirates 3) with some friends.

Still miserable today - left work early, just woke up from a nap, and my head is completely stopped up.  Headache still lingers, throat sore from breathing thru my mouth as I slept (nasal passage completely blocked), found out the pills I took were expired, its plenty cool in here but I'm breaking into a sweat - this is not good.  I need a hug.

Poor RichHicks, the flu is the worst!!!

What's happening in your lovelife, did you meet anybody nice, when you went out!!!!

I'm pretty sure I got up to 205 this weekend - another weekend of eating with a pregnant wife.  Lots of fast food this pregnancy.

Saturday - shopping for baby stuff.

Sunday - 1st round of the year.  Decent striking; crappy short game.

Watched my son play 3 baseball games. Won the first, got them into the Championship game. Then lost that and the rematch (double elimination) so they walked away with second place. Friday played indoor soccer and tied.

Oh and was able to play golf on Wed.

Sorry my weekend was Wed to Sat.

Not a damn thing!  :'(

Same woman was out with us again this weekend, but methinks she has her eye on another.  :(

I was so shy with Russell when I met him, my friend told me I had to be more forward with him, so I basically "put the hard word on him, in the end"!!!! :-[ :-[..... ;D ;)

Friday: Came home.  Drank beer.  Switched to Vodker-n-Cranbree. [sm_buddies]  Listened to live music from down the street.   [sm_whistle] Went to bed way to late. ::)

Saturday:  Worked.  [sm_disgust] [sm_coffee] :tinfoil:  Came home.  Drank beer.  Some good friends that moved away, and are now back came over.   [sm_stretch]  Drank lots of beer. [sm_buddies]

Sunday:   [sm_disgust] [sm_coffee] :tinfoil: X2.  1pm-4pm.  Madolyn's 9th birthday party. [sm_stretch]  8).  6 girls.  Lot's of fun.  After 4, Karen's brother and family came over, as did our friends that were still in town.  [sm_drinking] [sm_buddies] [sm_beertoast].  Watched fireworks.  Put Maddie to bed.  Salty Seven.  ;)

I coached 4 youth baseball games, came home after Sunday's and watched one more MLB baseball game and bits of other college games on the tube.

It don't get much better than this.

Fri:  Friday night had some friends over while Mom and Dad watched the kiddo.  After 2 hours they wanted us to come pick him up.  Thanks for nothing you [sm_cussing] *bunghole*s.

Sat:  played in said Okie Dust Bowl while drinking beer.  Went home afterwards to give the Mrs a break from our teething rug rat. 

Sun:  Did absolutely nothing which was nice.  The boy was in good spirits and crawling all over the house.

Mon:  was one of the best golf days of my life.  A friend of mine is a coach/teacher at a local high school and the McBride clinic put on a scramble tournament at Oak Tree Golf Club http://www.oaktreegolfclub.com/
the site of the 2006 Senior PGA championship and 88 PGA championship.  I got to play this Pet Dye course for free with a few hackers.  We shot a 66 (-5) using most all of my shots which was nice.  They did help out some of course.  We had to play from the Gold tees 6873 yards with so many par 4's that are 440 yards.  Unbelievable feeling being able to play there, I'll never forget it. 

My weekend started early:

Thursday:  Golf morning and spent the afternoon by the lake with my lovely wife. And Tyrconnell.  :)
Friday: Lovely morning with my wife. Golf afternoon followed by one of the worst dinners we've had. Not Good Times.
Saturday: Susan ran a 10K race in the morning. I played golf in the afternoon and we had a GREAT dinner at a lakeside restaurant.
Sunday: Home to save Grandma and get reacquainted with the girls. AND it was our 12th wedding anniversary. YEAH!!!!!

Ha - I'm the shy one!  I'm terrible at picking up those little signals you ladies put out there - I'm the kinda guy that needs to be hit over the head, I just don't get it otherwise.

Case in point - some years ago the workplace hottie was out with some of us at happy hour after work on a Friday.  Apparently she liked me, but I was completely aloof to that fact (I mean she could have had anyone, why me right?).  But being the go-getter she is - she went to the bar with me as I was getting another round for everyone... and placed me in a lip lock right there.  We finished off those drinks rather quickly and were on the way to my place!  ;D  If she hadn't done that we may never have got together (even though it only lasted 6 months).


But we need to talk my dear - "put the hard word on him"?  Sounds kinda kinky, does it hurt?  :D

Rickhick, my "extra special smiles" did not work on Russell at all.  He had two women(I say floozies ::)!!)in the time that I had met him, till we got together!!!
"Put the hard word on somebody"......well it must be Australian, as it means well....you ask them if they want to....you know, come home with you!!! [sm_shock] [sm_shock]

Fuzzy, I can fully understand you having a great time playing golf!!  But Fuzzy, is your Susan a madwoman!!!!!  Running a 10k race!!!! OMG!!!!!! That sounds like "bloody hard work!!!! ;D ;D

;D  No they weren't the hackers I played with Monday.  TFT and golfer ray played in the groups after me at the Okie Dust Bowl on Saturday.  TFT is the sandbagger that won low score.  I played with some not so well known but nice FGI'ers and golfer ray's son.  It was a nice round except we had the marshall on our ass all day.  And we kept pace with a twosome just in front of us the entire round.  I love a course that has 2 ft native grass 10 yards are the fairway telling you to hurry the *fudge* up. 

LMAO!  *fudge*in' pricks.

Just think of it as walking 18 holes, but not having to lug your golf bag.  :)   (well, OK, maybe 27 holes)

mine was boring.  no partying.  had to help my mom move boxes most of the weekend.

Went to a wedding on a cruise ship.  Barely fit into my suit.  :sad3:

Other than that, mostly worked on a new website.

I was aiming for the fairway.  Not to mention golfer-ray's son was in my cart spraying his balls all over the course ([sm_shock]that sounded bad).

And my eagle putt burned the edge so there.
