In 1987 I left for Basic Training in September. The Twins get to the World Series and win it. I never saw an inning. In 1991 I was discharged from the Army in September, but because of some court ordered restirictions, I wasn't allowed to leave the state until November 19th. >:( The Twins got to and won arguably one of the best World Series' evar. In 1998 The Queens were a shoe in for the Super Bowl. They had a routine test against the Atlanta Falcons at home for the NFC Conference Championship. I watched that game at my Brother-In-Law's house. They lost. I'm not very good at math, but I know there is a connection. In 2000 they lost 41 - donut to the Ney York Football Giants. And that's all I got to say about that. This year my beloved (soon to be 8 -1) Queens will roll through the remainder of the schedule, secure home field throughout the playoffs, beat the Ain'ts by a field goal in the 4th quarter, and on to Mission Miami where it will be a blowout over the Colts. I'm extremely interested in the logistics of it. On the surface it seems like a very unworkable situation given the housing mess short of just walking away from you current house. This is a bigger move than most but it seems like you've been presented a pretty good opportunity.
I know this board isn't the place for sentiments like this and I'm FAR from saying everything is rosy but there are glimmers of hope out there.
