Title: Outdoor hockey Post by: Spanky on September 17, 2007, 03:15:50 PM On Jan 1, Buffalo will host the Penguins to an outdoor game at Ralph Willson stadium (home to the Bills). That might be interesting to see. I know it's nothing new but this will be first NHL game played outside in the US. I know it's been done in Canada.

[slight threadjack] I wish I'd played hockey on the ponds/lakes that froze over when I was a kid. We played a lot of street hockey, but it was always drilled into our heads to stay off the ice.
