Title: TurboTax Tomorrow.
Post by: stroh on March 17, 2007, 08:10:26 AM
Never done it before.  Gonna lock myself in the office, and get 'er done.

Anybody else?  Help?  Hints?

Yeah, I know.  Welcome to 1994.  And I heard some blip about the Lindberg Baby missing.

What can I say?  I'm a late bloomer. :P

I've used both turbotax and taxcut over the years. Both have worked well for me.

They do a really good job of walking you through everything in a straightforward manner. Just make sure to double check all the forms at the end to make sure you didn't miss anything.

Turbo Tax is easy, as long as you have all your paperwork available.  We've been using it for years.

Its easy!!  My dad, a complete Luddite, uses it to do about four different family members returns. But being a retired tax manager and totally anal he ALSO does all the returns by hand "just so I can be 100% sure".  ::) What can I say, he's my dad.  ;D

Done, and done.

It was really simple.  Total elapsed @ 1:22.  I went pretty slow, and spent more time, tearing up the house looking for paperwork. :P  Daycare reimbursement, etc.

This version came with "It's Deductible".  Pretty nice feature.  Gives true item value to all the stuff I donated to GoodWill.  Boy am I generous. [sm_devil]  [sm_fingersx] ;D

Refunds:
Fed. 3k
State. 1k.

Come on up, beer is on me.

Bring your stuff up!  I wonder if the software allows for it?

Man, for 35 bucks, it's hard to beat.  Filed Fed., and state electronically for 34 bucks.

Our H & R Block last year was 208.00.

I never understood why they charge you to e-file.

I might because when I did mine with my computer (and turbotax) I wound up owing a little bit.

I like your results better.  ;D

Stroh:

You ought to look into having less $$ withheld. Refunds are Gods way of telling you that Uncle Sam has had YOUR money all year. You could have had that in your pocket or made interest on it instead of the feds.
