Title: Best Song from an Album not on the Album
Post by: Uisce Beatha on August 20, 2008, 09:27:36 AM
???

Well, it makes sense when you see my #1.  Free karma to first correct guess without peeking.  I'll just have to trust ye.

hint: Seamie will know after 1.3 seconds of thought.

Your choice?  Is the category too limited?  Is mine the automatic winner?   ;)

While I'll be the the first to admit that it doesn't take too many turns to lose me,  you got me right out of the gate on this one.

 :raisehand:

Without even starting the video (Youtube blocked at work and all), and knowing your love for Pink Floyd (and Seamie's), I'm going to say it's "When the Tigers Broke Free."

Written for the Album and featured in the film The Wall, but actually missed the cut for the album and didn't appear on a commercial release until The Final Cut.

[edit] After wikiing, I've discovered I'm wrong. It was released as a 7" (B Side- "Bring the Boys Back Home") and labeled "Taken from the album The Final Cut," but wasn't actually included on it until the CD re-release in 2004. Who knew? (Seamie and U.B. excluded, of course.)

Winner winner frickin' sinner.  +1.

Too easy.   :sad3:

Good work spacey.   ;)

I wouldn't go so far as to say that. It's just one of those bizarre random factoids I've got stored in my head. I'm really only a casual Pink Floyd fan, but I have a good friend who borders on obsessed, so I know more about them than I should, given the fact that I only own a couple of their albums.

Are you accusing me of being smart enough to show apathy?

I'm apathetic enough to not accuse you of anything.

You both care enough to take the time to proclaim your apathy.   ???

Apathetic?  Questionable.  Oxymoranic?  Definitely.

I'm apathetic enough to not accuse you of anything.

Maybe this will get you fired up - http://www.geoffshackelford.com/homepage/2008/8/20/the-document-has-been-very-well-lawyered.html

I'm also an attention *trollop*.  I just don't give a *feces* whether or not I actually get the attention.

Trust me, getting "lawyered" isn't something people look forward to.

Not sure if it fits the category:

oIx7k2gYT1I

It's definitely on the album, but wasn't listed for the first several printings, resulting in much confusion as it was the first top 20 single for the band in the US.
