Must die.  In that order.

Off for a first class day with golf and Champions League on the schedule.  Peace out.

TalonsCove (again, not my spelling) won.  Shot 94 and 92 ESC (icky 9 on a par 5  [sm_shock]).   Burned the hole at  least  five times.  Putter was just 5% off.  One of those "almost" days.  Played decent off the tee.

Chelsea lost on PKs and José will be spewing excuses for a week.  Right up to the point  where he resigns and skips off to Europe with a only a Carling Cup to show for a year's work.  Love it.  Love it.  Love it.

Blue wankers.   [sm_rolling]

It can be.  Two yards left of driving the green on #16.  Ended up in front left bunker.

#9 killed me.   That's my nemesis there and I have no idea why.  It's easy.

Love the course though.  I've never broken 90 there but it just suits my eye.  Beautiful views and usually in great shape.

'We were the best team today.

Which makes you wonder why they lost 1-0 in normal time, drew in extra time and lost on PKs....

Chelsea scum.

Liverpool were "only playing for the Champions League" he says.   ???

José is so full of chit.  He'd give his left one to earn that cup at Chelsea.  As it stands, he's "only playing for the FA Cup" albeit with a Carling Cup in his pocket.  From Roman's point of view that's complete failure.

Two weeks to the FA final.  United or Chelsea.  What a crap choice.   [sm_disgust]

TalonsCove is a sumbich. That is all.

That course is rated at 68.7 and sloped at 115 from the gold (blue) tees.  It's only 71.8 and 121 from the tips.  It's fairly short and there's no water but those numbers are way low.  Nobody I've played there with posts scores commensurate with those numbers.

That rating thing is obviously part art and part science.  Everyone now and again they get it eggregiously wrong.

It's no Stonebridge (which incidentally is rated 71.1 and sloped 131 from the blues, and 73.4 and 135 from the tips), but I'd say it's tougher than it's numbers indicate. Granted I've only played my own ball there once, maybe I was just having a bad day.

It's my understanding that the rating is also based on how difficult (or not) the course played the day the USGA raters played the course.  For instance if it wasn't windy the day THEY played it when generally it is so forth (and obviously vice versa).
