My temptation is to say no, he doesn't but I recognize that I have seemed 'snippy', so I'll ask:

Example, please?  [sm_devil]

His rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" a few minutes ago.  Probably the best I've heard.

I liked it myself, and I hate the "Star Spangled Banner."

Missed it. I've heard him do it before, and he does a very nice, understated version.

Whitney Houston ruined it IMHO, just because every no-talent beauty queen wannabe from St. Petersburg to Seattle feels compelled to 'show off' her own overblown version, generally at some short track I'm at that evening.

'Now, for the singing of the national anthem, Miss Misty Breyerson, 3d runner up the Li'l Miss Tulip Bulb Festival'

'OooooOOoooOOOooHHHHHHH   SaaAaaAaaAAaaAyyyy  Caaaaaaannnnn Ewwwwwwwwwe See.....

Just wondering how that would sound in the style of contemporary adult folk ???

This is my absolute favorite rendition. It was lip-synched, but who gives a rat's ass?

Ya know - you can bash Whitney all ya want, but I LOVED that anthem she belted out!  And kiss my ass if you want to give me chit about it!

However the best anthem I've heard was from a Chief Petty Officer at a Stl. Cardinals game this summer - that dude freaking rocked.  Just wish there was a utube version available.  I have witnesses too - the dude just nailed it - bar none, the best I've ever heard!!!

Say what you want about Roseanne, but at least she knew every word of the song.

I've watched this 3 times now, and I'm still waiting for her to fall out of that top.

My problem isn't with Whitney's version itself, it's with the no talent hacks who try to emulate it.

Alas, no wardrobe malfunction.

Whew, I finally had time to watch all of these.

The Carl Lewis butchering job always makes me laugh:

Oh crap! I just realized that one of the commentators in this video clip is one of the "news hotties" in the thread "over there".

It really is a wretched song.

I love America as much as the next 'merka hatin' lib, but I couldn't possibly agree more.

The lyrics look like one long-ass run-on sentence ending with a question mark, and the music is based on a drinking song written by a *goshdarn* Brit. Other than that, I see nothing wrong with it.
