Don't know, but I'm curious about them myself (though I don't think I have the swing speed to do them justice).

I know they have a supposed R flex rating of 70-80  mph....  but 'play' stiffer....

The "they play stiffer" part is what worries me. My driver ss is only ~85.

well then, they certainly might be too stout, but then again,  isn't  'playing stiffer'  all  relative to hit vs. swing, and 'feel', etc   anyways?     supposedly my  rifle 6.0's are too stiff for me (the amount I choke down, and the fact i never take a full swing with my irons, i usually don't get any of them above 80-82....   but the 1/2-3/4 swings make me really focus on accelerating, releasing, all that through the ball... and the shaft actually feels too 'NON' stiff!  LOL

then again, I am a weirdo...

Well, they're relatively inexpensive (~$9 per, IIRC) so one could experiment for relatively little, if one knew someone who could install them for little to nothing...

I have had them twice ( go figure)

swing speed with driver is approx 100mph

played the r flex, very nice dispersion with these, medium trajectory, good feel, I put prosofts in them even though they already have an insert in them.

good shaft

I've only seen them on the LPGA...if that means anything to you, Alice.   ;)

They are also played on the PGA.  I have not played them, but continue to hear positive feedback from those that do.  The common positive comment is that they will hold up very well for a variety of swing speeds.  Golfers who normally use an R shaft seem to be happy with them and golfers who may normally play an S shaft find that the R shaft holds up (meaning their timing is not thrown off) by this shaft even when they swing hard.

I am tempted to give them a try and probably will buy one for a test the next time I place an order with someone who handles them. From what I can see the best price on these is from Hireko.  But, for me Hireko is alway more expensive for shipping.  However, for a complete set the savings will more than offset shipping from the other suppliers I see selling them.

Aske you need to check with Larryd3. I'm 99.999% sure he's played them. And heaven knows he's played enough other shafts to give a fair comparison.

Clive is right.  This is a parallel universe.  Aske is posting about building clubs and asking questions about shafts.  Freaky.

Mack posted on (what am I supposed to call it, FIG?) that the Hump has a unique profile (soft butt with a very firm tip).  I don't believe people are saying they play overly stiff.  I haven't tried them yet but the unique profile probably fits certain swing types better than others.
