More than I care to think about. Probably in the $500 range, total. Then again I did replace every club in my bag. I'm not loving the B-O-M 4 wood (should have held on to the Adams Ovation, it's still my favorite FW I've owned) so I might still change that out, but I anticipate that I'm basically set for clubs, at least for next season. Though I might build a lower lofted driver in the Spring. Would have been handy for yesterday's wind.

i've got around.... *doing mental math here... $200+200+100+135+100+85* ~ $820    in my bag, including the bag.

i'm very very very happy with all of it except the putter though, and will use the gear till it wears out

Well, that's total out of pocket. I did some selling, some buying, some trading, etc. I have also started to dabble in clubmaking, so if we add the cost of tools, supplies, etc. my estimate would have to go way up.

I was pretty good this year.  Maybe about $300.

Most of my equipment hoing these days is on eBay, trading/buyind used stuff on FGI or GEA, or when there's a huge online clearance somewhere.

$400 for new irons. Maybe $50 on gloves.

just found a hogan 1h (17*)  @  golf galaxy and got it reshafted with a black lite  S flex @ 39"   for $65+ tax.

now the bag is truly set.
no  8.5* - 21*  gap   ;D

And I got myself an ancient putter from 2nd Swing for 3.49...  ;D [sm_enguard]<-- and this is why I bought it!

Not much this year.

I bought an Adams Ovation 5W from rockbottom for $39.
I added a Wishon PCF 60deg wedge and a Wishon 321LI 3I.  Can't remeber what they cost, but we'll say $100 for both.
I bought a bunch of MC Ladys when they were on sale at *8==>*'s, 5 dozen at $9.99 each, so $50.00 (not sure why, I've only lost like 5 balls all summer  :-\).

So, under $200 for the year.  Next year I will try for $0.

I spent a whole bunch of money figuring out that the 4 wood I started the season with (Adams Ovation) was the one I should have kept. Just sold my BOM head and picked up another Ovation. Seems like all told I probably spent $100 or so on that $35 club.  [sm_pod]

I agree, but I can't really hit a hybrid lofted stronger than 21° very well, which is why I carry the 4 wood. It mostly ends up being my tee shot club for tight fairways, but sometimes it comes in handy for 2nd shots on long par 5s.

I bought the old putter to use it as an off-hand rigid parrying object while fencing. I took it to practice last Sunday and people crapped themselves laughing.

But hey. Golf is period (i.e. exists pre 1600), and a putter is no different than a hard scabbard, or a walking stick. So it works fine for the purpose, which is fencing in the SCA (http://www.sca.org)

Don't know.  I purposely didn't keep track.  I'm better off not knowing.  I did some of it with trade in credit.  Still spent too, too much.

But I'm done even if it kills me.

Being married and things I didn't spend much on golf equipment.... just under AUD$1000. Bought a HiBore, FT3 tour, sold the FT3 tour, get a Unshankable wedge, a couple of Accra shafts + some reshafts, some hybrids to replace the 3,4,5,6 iron and thats it.

Last year I spend almost $9000 (thats the nett amount after I sold what I don't need).

Don't misunderstand me.

I know I can go thru a zillion club (tour/not tour) on the market but it won't help my game just one bit.

Equipment of its own was one of my worst habbit + hobby up to the point of this time of my life. I just want to try/own as much clubs as I can, without worrying about the end result of the game.

I tell you what I spend more on lessons just to get my swing right.

I am just a golfer who really love the game of golf and really want to get very good at it, thats all.

Life's short. If you want to do something, full throttle it.

9k would get you a good course of lessons.

Then you might get that 200 yard drive you are after :)

The max I can get is 115mph and thats give it all swing with no turning back...

6 out of 10 would be duff, 3 thin and 1 got it on sweetspot with a 45* open face!

My crusing zone would be just on 95-100mph.

Very, very little this year -- purchased a driver for $106 and that is all I paid out on golf this year.
