Who said that?

Some dude in GID.  I took it as Canon.  Soon as the ground thaws, I'm tryin' it.  Thaws, a lot.

I'm not even sure I'd know how to hit "down" with a driver. Then again, I've always found the term "hit down" to be a bit of a misnomer. Could it be the guy was saying "lead with your hands, not the clubhead?"

alot of us have been around long enough to remember when mike was introing the bab and had a chance to see mikes stuff.

Double penalty here for AOL speak combined with Jargonese, and the fact that I don't really want to know about anybody named Mike's  :airquotes: STUFF' :airquotes:.

(Those airquotes are the best smilies ever)

As far as hitting down with driver, Arnold Palmer did it his whole career, and I believe Snead did as well.

Then again, to quote the late Harvey Penick:

"Just because it works for Arnold Palmer doesn't mean you should do it. You're not Arnold Palmer'.

Don't try to bring that "golf type" commentary over here. Smited and karmalized, just to teach you a lesson.

FIG is for golf, Golfhos is for juvenile vitriol. A friend of mine has a friend named 'Peaches' who once told him, "Just because you can doesn't mean you should. But if you do, it will cost you extra."

;D I know not what you speaketh.  I do know that there are many golfers who have no idea if they are hitting down, up, at, sweeping, leading hands thru ball, etc (I am proudly one of them), who enjoys the game immensely. [sm_rolling]
