They actually adopted a platform of 'Hey, it's going to be really, really bad for our constituency of Big Bidness to do anything meaningful about it, so please go away'. Unfortunately,a fair amount of The Christian Right bailed out on this a while ago, having figured out that taking care of God's Creation might actually have some merit and almost universal benefit.
