Title: Now I don't feel so nancyboyish Post by: stegerman on March 28, 2007, 08:47:02 AM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmidt_Sting_Pain_Index
I got stung on my ring finger by a Paper Wasp a couple weekends ago while pulling my kayak out of the water. It felt like someone was trying to cut my finger off with a razor blade. My hand swelled up like a balloon over the next couple days. Glad I had taken my wedding ring off. Sting Pain Index of 3.0. Like spilling a beaker of Hydrochloric acid on a paper cut. Cool, the IPA of bee stings.
