Title: Re: Very nearly bad news, this was Post by: Uisce Beatha on May 10, 2008, 07:05:46 AM According to Guinness lore one of the secrets in the brewing process is the water source at St. James Gate. It's supposed to be a river/stream/spring in the Wicklow mountains and Arthur Guinness secured access to it as part of his famous nine thousand year lease. I imagine these days they can replicate it elsewhere but still... :sad3:
St. James Gate is massive. It's as big as a decent sized town basically within the confines of (almost) Dublin center. Prime real estate to be sure. Title: Re: Very nearly bad news, this was Post by: Seamus on May 10, 2008, 09:24:48 AM :)

Were you on your way in or on your way out? Title: Re: Very nearly bad news, this was Post by: Seamus on May 10, 2008, 11:52:44 AM Were you on your way in or on your way out? Way out. Didn't do the tour as it translated to something like 40 or fiddy bucks. I bought some nick nacks though, a couple of green repair tools, the obligatory t-shirt, etc.I thought this was a cool pic too. I tried to get the whole wording but this was the best I could do.
