Got Kings Court tickets for tonight, planning to go early enough to catch BP due to epic traffic madness courtesy of Barry Hussein.

It will be very, very weird for sure.

Shows what I know. OTOH, he requested a trade and one presumes he requested it to a contender. Since trading him to the Angels or Rangers was out of the question, this was probably the best option.

The Spankmes had Freddy Garcia pitching tonight as well. LOL

44.44% of the Yankees starting line-up were former M's. And they're not just former M's. They were drafted by the M's and/or made their MLB debuts with the M's.

Terrific game, and the plethora of former M's on the Yankees did not go unnoticed.

I was a little disappointed at the cheers when Felix hit ARod, but I saw more than a few people that had severe allergies crop up when Ichiro came to bat the first time.

I heard today was even more epic, including a much deserved curtain call after the game.

I see that they moved Ichiro to the top of the line-up after batting in 8 hole for the first two games.

Losing ARod put things in flux.

He'll be moving to left field now as well. Interesting to see if he still has the range to cover that much ground, and he could go to town batting with the insanely short right field porch at Yankee Stadium.

Now the question is: What happens next year? Alot of variables to consider there.

Also shows what I know: Girardi had him in right against the BoSox last night, and he got a HUGE ovation his first home at bat. The Yankee fans understand that Ichiro-san is really a once in a lifetime kind of player, and can still make a major contribution down the stretch and into the post season.

It's going to pain me to root for the Yankees, but the guy absolutely deserves the best shot he can get to play for all the marbles.
