Quote The NBA said in a court filing it spent $750 over three seasons to buy sneakers for Donaghy, who pleaded guilty last year to taking payoffs from gamblers. Now, the league wants its money back. It also wants a court to force the referee to repay his salary, his airfare expenses and meal allowances, and cough up at least $4,500 for complimentary tickets he received over the years. All told, the league is seeking $1.4 million from Donaghy. is there any precedent for this type of suit? you were a bad employee so we are going to sue to recoup your benefits. ::) Title: Re: OMG LOL Post by: MFAWG on June 21, 2008, 06:15:50 PM I'm thinking there might be.
The problem wasn't that he was a poor referee, it was that he essentially set up a competing business that utilized his employers resources for his own personal gain at the expense of his employers product, or something like that there. In other words, I like pie! |
