Title: WTF? OWWWW...
Post by: MFAWG on July 12, 2008, 10:12:03 AM
Out of the blue, Mr. Cat comes running in at top speeds from parts unkown and jumps into my lap and onto The Boys, a fabulous act he followed up by biting me on the hand.

Wanker.

This is only my opinion.....

cats are good for two things.......

speed bumps......

target practice.

I hate cats.  I loathe them.  They are evil despicable creatures only worthy of our intent to destroy their species.

Other than that, I guess thy're OK.

I'm reasonably certain that Mr. Cat thinks of himself just like that, The Great Hunter eating his fresh kill.

I'm also reasonably certain that he thinks 'If only I was bigger, that guys nads could be an appetizer'.

He jumps on 'em about once a week. He's lost a little speed in the last couple of years, but he's put on a couple of pounds making the impact about the same.

Still, he's entertaining enough. Favorite toy is still the cellophane of a cigarette pack, which he can reduce to a sticky goo in about an hour.

It's said that cats have 3 names: The name you give them, the name other cats know them by, and a name known only to themselves.

The name you give them is the least important of the 3, so why bother? ;D

Mr. Cat adopted me by moving into my apartment when I lived in California, and then jumping into a box when I was moving back up here. I guess he decided he was coming too. It actually wasn't my idea.

Glad to have him though!

The expressions of cat hatred sadden me.  I just hope the people who feel that way don't stoop to cruelty toward cats or any other animals.

No worries here. We have 2 dogs. Just some family members are allergic to cats.

We have two cats in our house.  I'm not going to put out a big bowl of antifreeze for them, but I won't miss them when they're gone.  Just not into cats as pets, housemates, or anything else.

I would feel bad for my wife, though -- she's very fond of them.

Cats are woefully lacking in artistry (http://www.tillamookcheddar.com/work.htm) when compared to dogs.

I have heard people describe dogs many different ways, but I can't recall anyone complementing them on their artistry.

Ernest Hemingway, Winston Churchill, and Teddy Roosevelt loved cats too.  Is that macho enough for you?

I think Gleek is referring to tongue-work.

Heck, dogs have nothing on cats in THAT particular skillset.

Growing up (in our 14's or so) we swore there was a single woman in this one house with that going on.   ;D
