Is it fair to sit here and complain about my mom having stage 4 Melanoma? Is it really fair to sit and complain about the MIL having stage 2 breast cancer? Is it selfish to sit here and dwell on the fact that I do NOT want to lose my mother to something as un-treatable as Melanoma. The treatment for Melanoma is all trial studies. Is that supposed to make a person feel better? Well I DON'T!!!! I don't like feeling sorry for myself, but yet I do. My mother is not that old. She is supposed to live into her 80's or longer. Does that make me selfish, I don't think so. I realize that there are others (including my mother who lost her mom at the age of 6 to a drunk driver) who have lost their mom's sooner than this, but I Don't want to lose her. I realize that complaining about it does not help, but what is a girl to do.

I have so much stress, but so little compared to some. I need to find a job and the market sucks. I have a college degree, but yet that doesn't seem to matter. I can sit here and feel sorry for myself, but does that really help. I guess not......

Life sucks, and until I decide to help myself feel better, I guess I will just bitch. I really hate that, but that is how I feel right now..... Sorry you all had to listen to my rambling.

Darla, I feel your pain.  My Mom and Step-Dad are both in their eighties, and going through some pretty serious health issues right now.  My wife's Mom and Step-Dad are a little older, but we see similar problems in the near future.  Good luck to all of yours. ;D
