Hicks lost on the last hole to a 330 yard LPGA 7-wood.   :o

That seems like a long way for some chick to hit a 7 wood.  Is that 330 yards formulated for a proportional ratio to his height?

Or did it just seem like 330 yards because he counted of the paces?

And for those that have not heard this before.....

It was that bastage Baab.  We were playing heads-up and tied heading to the 18th tee.  I stroked a really nice utility wood to 100 yards (on a 400 yard hole - it was downhill) - Baab gets out the 7 wood, to my jeers and needling about being an 'LPGA' club.  He pulls it left big time.  Its headed for the chit for sure, and I've got him.

So, we're looking for his ball in the chit and we spot one in the middle of the fairway, past my ball.  Baab starts to think he got lucky but I have not given up.  I quickly cover his eyes and ask him to describe in detail the ball he hit  ;).  But sure enough - when we got to the ball it had his trademark three back dots.  I erupted in a profanity laced tirade about his blind ass luck, did he stuff a horseshoe up his arse before the round, etc.  It HAD to have hit a rock, cart path, and one of the two again, to get where it rested.  He truly was the luckiest bastage in a 20 mile radius at the time.

I still had a chance yes - but for some strange unexplainable reason, from the 100 yard marker to a back pin placement.... I sent a properly hit 60* lob wedge over the whole damned green  [sm_dontknow].  My chip (from a hole/buried lie) runs well past and I bogey - Baab pars.

So yes - I lost due to a 330 yard 7 wood off the tee.



But it was Baab - good times, good times.  ;D ;D
