Mayo margaritas? Japan indulges its creamy passion
http://www.reuters.com/article/lifestyleMolt/idUST10775120070813?feedType=RSS&feedName=lifestyleMolt
Quote
TOKYO (Reuters Life!) - When Koji Nakamura mixes up a margarita cocktail, he adds a special ingredient -- mayonnaise.

"Mayogarita", a white drink with a hint of the creamy dressing, is one of several cocktails Nakamura serves in his "Mayonnaise Kitchen" restaurant in suburban Tokyo, which features mayonnaise on everything from toast and spaghetti to fondue.
...
...
Nakamura's tiny restaurant, with fewer than a dozen tables and decorated with cut-outs shaped like mayonnaise bottles, also offers "Mayoty Dog", which tastes like the vodka-based cocktail Salty Dog but is served in a glass with mayonnaise on its rim instead of salt.

Patrons of the seven-year-old restaurant can buy their own bottle of mayonnaise for 300 yen ($2.53) -- similar to bars that keep regular customers' bottles of whisky or sake.

Sorry, that chit is foulness extreme.  So too its cousins Miracle Whip, ranch dressing, Thousand Island, sour cream...  I can go forever.

If God wanted us to put anything but butter on our sandwiches he wouldn't have invented them in England.

It does present some marketing possibilities for ladies' nights.

And here we thought ice in wine was bad.

I'm wondering if mayo curdles in vodka.  Eeew.

Are you kidding? Mayonnaise the ONLY significant French invention in the past 250 years. Except for, maybe, French kissing and the bikini.

OK, pasteurized milk is pretty significant too. Oh, I guess Braille is pretty important for the blind. Hmmm, come to think of it, Rudolf Diesel was technically French.

All right. Mayonnaise is one of the top 10 most significant French inventions in the past 250 years.

Well, I'll give you that.  I figure Thierry Henry is at #1 and the rest of the list drops off sharply from there.  So #10 on the France list is, like, #389 on the Myanmar list.

Fuq u, eh?

Good thing for the Steelers that Bradshaw used to spray his passes all over the place. Otherwise, Frenchy would have caught that pass.

And there we are, another French Connection.

Just to be perfectly clear that you're not implying that John Madden is of French heritage...

A, I believe he was getting hit by a Raider as the ball arrived.
B. Spray or no spray ... Hall of Fame, baby!

Stroh (and probably twoiron, Jules, and the Twins): that's John "Frenchy" Fuqua, former Steelers running back and the guy that the football allegedly caromed off and into the hands of Franco Harris for the Immaculate Reception (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immaculate_Reception).

Interesting.  I had always been aware of the play, but never had any idea of the controversy, and/or question on the ruling.

BTW  Nice job everyone!  Way to jack this motha proper!  Damn!  From Japanese Mayonnaise martinis to French controlled lone gunman playoff wins.

It has to be our finest hour. [sm_buddies]

Francisco Franco was Spanish, and Franco Harris was Italian. However, in the latter part of his career, Harris used to run out of bounds instead of taking a hit. He was roundly criticized by Hall of Famer Jim Brown, whose rushing record Harris eclipsed, for pulling the football equivalent of the French military surrender move.

Yeah, I know "Franco-" is a prefix meaning "French", as in "Francophile" (admirer of all things French), but I needed a good lead-in for my Franco Harris insult.  :D

blah blah blah.  Thirteen seasons is pretty damn long career for a starting NFL running back.

Perhaps you would like some Brie?  (back on-topic!)

Or even that Gatorade drinkin' KC team.

Just funnin' with all you Steeler fans. I actually used to be a huge Steeler fan myself, so I figure I'm allowed to rip on the same Pittsburgh players I used to root for. You know. It's kind of like how it's OK for African-American to use the "N-word" or people named Rene can call each other "tapette".

They think they're so cool with their half a helmet logo.

Marge: I think owning the Denver Broncos is pretty good.
Homer: Yeah, yeah.
Marge: Well, explain to me why it isn't.
Homer:  You just don't understand football, Marge.
