Title: Golf + Economy
Post by: Uisce Beatha on May 13, 2009, 07:44:14 PM
Four weeks (weekdays) in a row we've played nine holes at my home course with maybe one other group within four holes.  Last year it didn't happen once.

The weather has been perfect.  The course is hosting the State Am in a couple of months and the condition of the place is phenomenal.  $12 to walk nine M-Th so it's definitely affordable to all but the unemployed.

Trend?  Anyone?

I haven't played an evening round on a weekday yet this year.  I plan on getting out Monday evening though.  Hopefully we'll have the run of the place.  We've had rain or storms the past 2-3 weeks straight, so when we get a nice weather window people are on the course.  I've only played a few times so far but that was on weekends at our local public courses.  OKC has two very nice public courses within 8 miles from each other.  They each have 36 well-maintained holes.  And if the weather is nice on a weekend they are always full.
