Unfortunately yes - didn't bring the A game today  :(

Senderos looked like *feces*e, and the passing was terrible.  Ugh.

Villa were very unlucky not getting three points out of that.  And you're right, Senderos was crap.  Fabregas was totally exposed defensively (not that he's on the pitch for his defense).

Reds has better watch out I think.  A UEFA spot is going to be some sort of battle.  1/4 of the season to go and there are two great races in making (1st and 4th).

Actually, most of the back line showed some weaknesses today.  I've been completely impressed with Clichy for the entire season, then the last two weeks he's lacked concentration.  Sagna too has been good, but today had lots of giveaways.  If Toure isn't back for the Milan match, I'd look for Gilberto to play central back.  He may not like it, but it gets him on the pitch.

And while Gallas has played fairly well, I don't think he was the right choice for captain - too emotional, wears it on his sleeve.  Not the kind of leadership I prefer to see.  Not that you should change mid-season, but if I could I'd actually give it to Flamini.  His impact on our season cannot be overstated.

Hobbit talk...

I liked Clichy today.  What didn't float your boat?

Hleb impresses me big time.  He's 100% through 90 minutes and makes things happen.

Perhaps I was influenced by the announcers, but it seemed he was not in tune with the rest of the back line when it came to the offsides traps and covering for runs.  In his defense, I've really loved his play all year save that penalty last week.

Hleb is impressive - they didn't seem to use him enough this week.  I'm looking forward to Rosicky's return and watching the midfield return to its one touch attacking style.  Fabregas, Flamini, Rosicky, and Hleb seem to have a connection that really makes the difference.
