Yup, I watched my house value go up and back down to what I paid for it 7 years ago. If I were to sell it now it would go for less then what the tax man says it worth.  :sad3: [sm_disgust]

the assessment on mine has gone down 3 years running. thank god for the inflation clause so they can still raise my taxes every year and then re-raise them on the same appreciation should the value go back up.

I wish mine was worth what it said it was.  It says it appreciated 30k in the 3 years I bought it.  But comparable home sales now say it is worth about the same or maybe 10k more.  Fortunately the historic part of the city isn't being hit as hard as new homes in urban sprawl around OKC.
