Woo Hoo!

Well, we had a great weekend away.  I worked on Saturday.  At 3, I came home, Karen had everything packed and ready to go, and we took off.  1 hour drive up to Hinkley.  Checked into the hotel.  Nice place.  Big expansion, some 400 rooms when it's all done.  Sometime Summer '07.  The girls hit the pool right away, and I set off to make my fortune.  About 3 hours later, and down 200 bucks, I turn around and see Karen and Maddie standing there.  They are headed into the buffet.  I decline, saying I'm not very hungry, and wouldn't be good company anyway. >:( >:(  I head up to the room, and start in on the Windsor, and beer..........heavy.  I figure, I'm on vacation, and need to improve my mood.  I'm here for fun, and I'd better shape up.  I start watching the coolest infomercial for a '70s music collection, and before long, I'm Dancin' on the ceiling. (ok, that was '84, but you get the point).  The girls come upstairs, we change, and back to the pool.  I swam for a bit with them, and then we all retired upstairs.

A little more tv, and then off to bed.  I woke up, around 3:30, and sneak back down to the casino floor.  I amble(pr. stumble) over to a blackjack table that is full, and watch hand after hand being won, while I'm forced to wait my turn.  I finally get my chance, sit down, and loose 7 straight hands, to the tune of 60 bucks.  I'm pissed.  I get up, and head back to the dollar slots.  I sit down at a machine, and look to my left.  That woman hits 500 bucks.  I keep loosing 1 dollar at a time.  Then, this chick sits down to my right, and on her 3rd pull, hits 350. >:( >:( >:(


I get up, make a loop, and spy this machine.  It was the one I had won 150 bucks on our last trip.  I sit down, sigh, and look at my last 6 dollar coins in my cup.  It only took 3...............Jackpot.

Yep. (not the biggest, 'cause I was only playing 1 credit per pull)  but I hit.  1800.00 bones.  Wow.

Went back upstairs, and Karen heard me come in........She says......"Well?"

Needless to say, it was high on the hog, for the rest of the trip. ;)

Paid the entire weekend in (their) cash.  Ate well.

Next, we left for Duluth, checked in, and spent the rest of the time, playing in the water park, going out to eat, watching Nascar, and drinking beer.

Good times, good times.  Gave Savannah 200 bucks.  The Golf show is this weekend, and we have booked a hotel in downtown Minneapolis for that.  Squirreled a few bucks away for a rainy day.

What an awesome weekend.  Nat., sorry, we never did venture around town to look for the rock, but we'll be back.

Well, I've had problems with my pc since we came home.  I don't know what happened.  There was a message that I got automatic Windows updates, and nothing has worked since.  I can't connect to any servers, and am surprised, I can even get here. 

No Photobucket, so apparently no pictures.  Oh, well.

Is there nothing in life that can't be made right by drinking and gambling?  [sm_beertoast]

What kind of slot machine was it?

I tend to rely on strippers and pröñ, but drinking and gambling certainly has its place.

Dollar Slot.  The actual machine was "Triple Pay"  I hit 7, and 2 triple pay symbols.  3 triple pay symbols would pay the full 5k. :o

I was walking down the Las Vegas strip several years back when I saw a very inviting sign on a casino. Well, you can imagine my disappointment when the manager explained to me that it said "loosest slots in town." As one might expect, they invited me to not return.

well, it was more of a Beavis and Butthead Do America  reference.

I think that's the IT guys letting you know they want their share in what you won.  ;)

Congrats!!   Hinckley is a nice casino.  I"ve been there a few times when I lived in Hibbing.  I hear they have a nice course too, but I haven't played it.

Congrats!  Nothing better than a free vacation!  Hit a big jackpot in Vegas and you might just get offered some *trollop*s, though probably not free. [sm_shock]

After everything(including splurging on things we normally wouldn't have.  Savannah bought a whole bottle of wine at dinner $45, some crap from the gift shop, $200 to Savannah for gas, groceries, $100 to Maddie, etc)

I brought home 950.  200 of it earmarked for this weekend, hotel, golf show.

Don't forget to put some of it away for federal and state income taxes since you'll have to declare it as :airquotes: income :airquotes:. ;D

better just give it to me to take care of for him
