Title: Speaking of stoned athletes.

Apparently, Manny Ramirez and Scotty Boras have been smokin' the reefer:

In November, the Dodgers offered Ramirez two years and $45 million, then withdrew the offer. In December, they offered a one-year contract via salary arbitration. On Sunday, they offered a one-year contract for $25 million.

"This offer was rejected, the arbitration was rejected and the first offer, we didn't even get an answer for that one," McCourt said.

No, it's not the amount of money that makes them high, it's this:

Boras, believed to be asking four or five years at more than $25 million per year, was not immediately available for comment.

Ramirez is 37 years old, and that assumes his Dominican birth certificate is accurate, not a safe bet.

2 years with options, MAYBE. 4 years for 25 million per? No way.

Andruw Jones is another Scott Boros client, and he can't even buy himself a minor league contract right now.

Don't know what happened to Andruw, but his stats have dropped off the charts the last 3 or 4 years, did he get hurt?

Manny on the other hand hasn't dropped at all, (or much if any), but he is smoking something.  ;)

Andruw's problem, plain and simple, is he has the 2nd worst case of the pulls in all of recorded baseball history.

Andruw just wants to pull every pitch he sees over the fence in the left field corner.  Doesn't matter where the pitch is, he'll try to pull it.
