I live in mine. They are perfect for our warm sunny laid back lifestyle. Besides, you can get such pretty ones now, I just brought a brand new silver pair last weekend.

We called them thongs when I was a kid, but the word has evolved (or been intelligently re-designed) somewhat since then. I blame Sisqó.

I hope you're referring to the thongs you wear on your feet. Stroh might have a heart attack after reading the above if you're not....

Can't wear 'em either. The between the toes thing just kills me.
I wear Bites with the back strap undone ALOT in the summer though.
Also not a fan of the sandals with wool socks when it's 35 degrees and raining out. WTF is up with THAT?

I think it's a PAC NW thing. Ayup... You're not one of 'Us', you're an idiot who doesn't have the sense to dress yourself, you granola eating wannabe! If it's warm enough for sandals and raining, it DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU WEAR SOCKS!!!! If it's too cold for sandals and dry, it's STILL TOO *goshdarn* COLD FOR SANDALS!

I wear 'em when I don't want to put any effort towards socks and shoes but don't want to walk around barefoot, either. They're good when fishing, too.

I wear them around the house and in the backyard, but go with normal sandals elsewhere. I don't even try running wearing flipflops anymore. I've destroyed a few trying to run in them.
