apparently  the NFL channel wants basically $.70/subscriber-month for this
(the espn suite is something like $5-6/subcriber-month

most cableco's are balking.  if they sign it and raise your rates $5 or so,  you're getting ripped hard.

Bingo.

I was cheesed years ago, when I wanted the Golf Channel.
To get it, I had to order the entire sports package.

I had every Fox Sports bit in the world.

I could watch extreme BMX/Snowboarding at 3am in 4 time zones 'til my heart was content.
