First we had Joe the Plumber show up at an Obama event in Ohio. Now we have this douche bag show up at an Obama rally in Virginia. A mere coincidence, or could it be possible that these guys are Obama operatives posing as dumb*fudge* McCain supporters? If so, Obama's running the most brilliant presidential campaign evar!

Naww, those folks are real. They're the kind of guys who have jobs where they drive alot (Plumbing contractor, outside sales rep, etc, etc).

They get in the car at 9 am, 3 hours of Rush, followed by 3 hours of Hannity, and then some local wingnut until 5:00 pm.

The  Air quotes genius Air quotes of the Obama campaign is 3 fold:

1) Recognizing and exploiting Clinton's weakness from the left ( 'I opposed the war from the beginning'. Of course, it helps that he didn't have to actually vote on the thing)

2) An economic calamity of epic proportions after 30 years of right to WAAAY right of center economic policies (and yes, that includes POTUS 42)

3) A Republican opponent that has run quite possibly the most inept campaign in decades.

I agree. McCain's ineptitude has allowed Obama to simply run the ball up the middle for the last month, or longer. The Palin pick was so incredibly stupid I still can't believe he made it. That pick convinced me that McCain was not just a candidate with whom I disagree on issues, but was a candidate who might be just as shallow, impetuous, and potentially dangerous as the guy he would replace.

Ayup.

To Obama's credit, his message discipline has been excellent. He really hit his stride with:

'They think you're stupid. John McCain has been  the same kind of Free Market Conservative Republican that Bush is for over 20 years. NOW he's changing his story.'
