As you know, we have had a good friend in and out of the hospital lately.

Tonight, she left us.

Grandma Jean(as she came to be known), came to us, before Karen and I were even married.  A retired RN, she landed  as a volunteer, in the radiology department, in which Karen and I worked.

An interesting woman, with stories for a lifetime, she became an indelible part of our lives.

Basically Karen's best friend.

She taught me much about life.  I will never forget her, and will miss her deeply.

True sadness. I wish I could say something to help ease the pain you and Karen must feel. The best I can do is offer my empathy and sorrow for you.  Sad
