Our city built this park about a year ago. Some local kids. We also have a skate shop just up the road. One or two of the boys are interested.

Nice enough, but what's interesting is that you can build concrete for just about what those prefab ramps and table cost.

The wife and I recently discovered this skate park. We occasionally take the kids to the playground at one corner of the larger surrounding park. I have no idea if this is considered a good skate park or not, but you can get a feel for the size based on the nearby baseball field and the basketball courts. I see "kids" of all ages there, and some of the younger ones bring their Razor scooters.

Kids these days are spoiled. That looks like a bitchin' park to me, but the youngstahs over at Concrete Disciples say the 'crete is lumpy and the tranny's are weird. Which would make it about the same as the park I skate, and about a bazillion times better than ANYTHING I had when I was that age.

I'm sure the hardcore skate rats shun the scooter kids. LOL

Not so much  'Shun' as 'Make them bounce'.  Devil

After that, we're making different batches of homemade Irish Cream to do the Pepsi challenge to determine which variety we will be using for gifts this year. Word on the street is that Canadian whiskey tastes better than Irish whiskey. But then do we have to call it Canadian Cream? Somehow I don't think bourbon will be very good, but we're going to try it anyway, because... well just because. I'll let you know the results.
Batches were made with Jameson (Irish), Pendleton (Canadian), VO (Canadian), Maker's Mark (Bourbon), and Seagram's 7 (American). All tasted pretty good, and all were better than Bailey's, though the 7 batch just barely, in each of our taster's humble opinions.

The clear favorite among everyone involved was the Jameson batch. Followed (in order) by: Pendleton, VO, Maker's, and 7.
